IF YOU CAN STILL GET A COPY OF THIS...

Holy shit kids, If you can still get a hold of a copy of this new Stooges box set, snatch it up! I just got my copy and have been listening for 4 straight days now. This is a must for ALL Stooges fans! The only recording of the Stooges two guitarist line–up, James Williamson & Ron Asheton. Only 10 shows were played on the 1971 tour...there's four of them here. Plus if you have the "St. Louis Adolescent Nightmare" bootleg, you'll have 5 of the 10 shows that were played! These recordings are all audience recordings and sound a bit crappy at times but show the band in staggering form. The electric circus & Detroit tapes were recorded by manager Danny Fields and purchased by Easy Action records. The package includes a booklet with unpublished photographs from the tour, the front cover image is from the archives of the late New York photographer Peter Hujar and has never been seen before. Also included in the package are replica polaroids, a photograph of Iggy and a replica ticket. Supposed to be 1000 copies pressed. And no re-pressings. We'll see...

DELANEY & BONNIE and FRIENDS: Royal Albert Hall London, England/December 1. 1969 (Flac)

This is a really cool show. I'm not sure if this a soundboard recording or not, but it's really decent quality. I admit I'm not a huge Clapton fan but I always liked the side projects he was involved with. Plus the other musicians on this recording are in a class by themselves. So enjoy.
